Prepare Now - Stay Safe

Hurricane Kiko is expected to reach the Hawaiian islands by early to mid-next week.
Please take this time to prepare your home, business, and family for strong winds, rain, and potential outages.

🏠 Secure Your Home or Business

  • Unplug unnecessary appliances and shut off gas valves.
  • Set refrigerators to the coldest setting to preserve food.
  • Check and secure door locks.
  • If evacuating, shut off electricity, gas, and water at the main switches.
  • Bring in or secure outdoor items that may blow away.


🧰 Build a Disaster Supply Kit -  Prepare enough for at least 3–7 days:

  • Drinking water
  • Non-perishable food
  • Clothing & blankets
  • First aid kit & medications
  • Toiletries & hygiene items
  • Flashlight & batteries
  • Battery-operated radio
  • Important documents (ID, insurance, medical records, etc.)
  • Pet care items (if applicable)
  • Cash
  • Keys
  • Full gas tank in all vehicles
